The scientific journal Archive of Criminology and Forensic Sciences is dedicated to advancing Ukrainian research capacity by publishing the findings of scholarly work, both theoretical and applied, in criminology, forensic science, criminalistics, criminal procedure, and related fields.
The journal Archive of Criminology and Forensic Sciences aims to carry forward the finest academic traditions established by Honored Professor M. S. Bokarius by identifying pressing issues and examining ways to address them, bringing research findings into practice, integrating Ukrainian scholarship into the global academic community, and highlighting the latest studies, technologies, and discoveries in law, while upholding the principles of academic integrity throughout the preparation, review, publication, and dissemination of research results.
The journal's main objectives are:
1. Academic exchange:
- promoting the exchange of research findings, innovative technologies, and practical experience among scholars, educators, and practitioners in criminology, criminalistics, forensic science, and the forensic disciplines;
- publishing the results of research conducted by Ukrainian and international scholars and practitioners;
- publishing the principal findings of dissertation research by degree seekers and of studies submitted by applicants for academic titles for the formal recognition of scholarly publications, with due regard for academic integrity and internationally recognized standards of publication ethics.
2. Addressing current challenges:
analyzing and discussing current issues in criminology, forensic science, the forensic disciplines, and forensic practice.
3. Improving legislation:
developing recommendations to improve legal regulation and the work of forensic institutions in order to meet the contemporary needs of judicial proceedings.
4. International integration:
indexing the journal in international scientometric databases, repositories, and catalogs to increase citation of published research and, in turn, integrate the results of Ukrainian scholarship into the international and European research area.
