In modern civil proceedings, the use of forensic examination results is a key means of proof, but at the same time is accompanied by significant problems regarding the assessment, reliability, and practical application of expert conclusions in court decisions. The aim of this study is to analyze current problems in the application of forensic examination results in civil cases and to identify prospects for their improvement. Analytical and comparative legal methods were used, as well as an analysis of current judicial practice and scientific publications. It has been established that the problems are related to the heterogeneity of methodologies, the lack of uniform standards for evaluating findings, as well as the insufficient qualifications of experts and the court’s subjective evaluation of expert findings; directions for improving legal regulation and methodological support are proposed. The results of the study indicate the need to adapt legislation and judicial practice to contemporary challenges to ensure the objectivity and effectiveness of civil proceedings.
